Talk Description: Our presentation will include aspects of the following: 1) We often begin with opportunities for audience members to share stories of Acts of Kindness, particularly Radical Acts of Kindness. 2) We’ll do a short reading about how kindness is not about weakness, but is about strength. 3) We will present ways that justice and compassion go hand-in-hand and describe how kindness can be a superpower in the struggle for social justice. 4) We’ll describe ways to get involved in AOK Maine’s activities fostering collaboration and connection within Maine’s communities. We’ll also describe how these activities support and engage with disadvantaged populations. 5) We’ll describe the highlights of our cutting-edge “Monthly Act of Kindness Campaign,” an exciting statewide collective-action initiative. 6) We’ll describe our CGCF Kindness Scavenger Hunt and provide scavenger hunt handouts (see https://www.aokmaine.org/event-planning).
