Talk Description: Susanne Grosjean will be spinning on an antique great wheel (wool wheel, walking wheel) most of the weekend. She will talk about the history of how to identify and repair these wheels and give helpful tips on learning to spin on them. Bring your questions and photos of your wheel. As in past years, an assortment of spinning equipment, tools, and finished work will be on display. Across the road in the Pocket Park & Dye Garden, Susan Barrett Merrill will oversee daily warping of the beautiful granite EarthLoom™. Fairgoers will have the opportunity to create a new tapestry each day. If you are a spinner, please feel free to bring your wheel and/or drop spindle and come spin with us anytime during the weekend. Stay for an hour. Stay for a day. All are welcome!
