Presenter: Gordon Smith Lake Region Middle School
Talk Description: Participants will be able to use processed batts of local wool and simple tools to make shoe/boot liners or a dish or body sponge. We will describe briefly some of the characteristics of wool through simple wool science demonstrations. An overview of the simple techniques and tools we use with middle school students will follow. Everyone will get an opportunity to make either a sponge of shoe/boot liner and directions for further practice and sources of wool and equipment lists.
