WELCOME TO THE MAINE FIBER FARMS AND MARKETPLACE VENDOR APPLICATION

The purpose of the Maine Fiber Farms and Marketplace is to provide a venue for self raised fiber farms or homesteads to market goods produced on their farms from animals they raise; to provide an outlet for businesses that cater to the small fiber producer and fiber user to sell their products and equipment; to educate the public about connections between the animals and their products; and to provide a venue for educational activities related to fiber, including spinning, dyeing, weaving, fiber care, and sheep breeds.

Application Process

STEP ONE - Read Guidelines and Application Instructions.

Before completing your application, read and familiarize yourself with the Fair and Maine Fiber Farms and Marketplace Area Guidelines. There are updates relating to fiber products and processing for 2026, so be sure to read these.

Please note: in order to vend at the Fair all vendors must submit a Certificate of Insurance meeting the requirements specified in the 2026 General Fair Guidelines to the Fair office by June 1st.

STEP TWO - Complete the Maine Fiber Farms and Marketplace Vendor Application below.
Required information to complete a booth application includes:
• A description of your work and the products you wish to sell at Common Ground.
• Booth Size and Location Preference. Some Maine Fiber Farms and Marketplace booths are located inside a tent, while others are located outside.

STEP THREE - Submit Application with $10.00 Application Fee
You may submit payment online with your application or mail a check. Applications will not be considered until payment is received.

Applications (including application fee) are due on Monday, February 16th. 
Completed applications received after the deadline will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

We strongly encourage vendors to limit the amount of single-use plastic packaging in their booths. Please consider using alternative packaging like see-through recycled cotton/silk drawstring bags, baskets, tins, recycled non-plastic containers, etc .

MOFGA encourages vendors to integrate educational elements into the presentation of their products. If there are any educational components to your booth, please tell us about these:
Will you be bringing animals as part of your exhibit?

Please note that vendors bringing animals receive preference over those not bringing animals as it increases the educational value of their booth.

Animal details.
Please provide details about the animals you will be bringing below including breed, animal's name, and vaccination dates. Common Ground pays livestock exhibitors premiums. See the Maine Fiber Farms and Marketplace guidelines for premium details, vaccination requirements, and insurance requirements.

2 - PRODUCT LIST
MOFGA reserves the right to determine whether any product or service may be offered at the Common Ground Country Fair. Only products and services that are listed on this application and approved may be included in your booth. Vendors may be required to remove products from their booth that are not on this application or in keeping with MOFGA's mission.

List and describe the items/services you wish to sell and the price range for each.
Indicate if organic. Indicate if made in Maine and where processed. Remember, all fiber products must be at least 75% Maine fiber content and 100% of animal fiber in each item must be grown/raised in Maine. (You may group like items of different sizes/color/variety/etc... on one line.)

3 - BOOTH SPACE

Indicate your booth location and type in order of preference (1st, 2nd, 3rd). We do our best to locate returning vendors in their same location as last year, unless requested otherwise.

Please note that vendors who produce fiber products with 75% or more of fiber produced on their own farm, have a 10% cost reduction in their booth fee.
