The YE(T)Z application deadline is Monday, March 23rd. Applications submitted after the deadline will be reviewed on a rolling, space available, basis.
Please note Friday fills faster and is generally more competitive than Sunday.
About YEZ/YETZ:
The purpose of the Youth Enterprise Zone (YEZ) and the Youth Enterprise Transition Zone (YETZ) is to provide opportunity and space for Maine youth to show and sell their original wares that embrace the mission and goals of MOFGA and the Common Ground Country Fair (CGCF); to gain hands-on business experience; and tell or demonstrate the story of their artistic process. We also aim to inspire “fair-going” kids to do the same.
YEZ vendors must be sponsored by an adult. Adult sponsors are encouraged to play a supporting role in the youth vendor's enterprise, but to leave the actual creative, production and business work to the youth vendor. Helping to set parameters, driving to get materials, providing guidance along the way is the sort of help that is encouraged. Actively participating in the design, production and selling of the products is not. During the Fair, adult sponsors may help with set-up; on-site troubleshooting and advice; and help with breakdown/clean-up. The area is intended solely for youth artisans and vendors.

Application Process
BEFORE YOU GET STARTED
1. Read Guidelines and Application Instructions.
Before completing your application, read and familiarize yourself with the Fair and Youth Enterprise and Transition Zone Area Guidelines.
2026 CGCF and YEZ/YETZ Area Guidelines are available here.
2. If you want to sell food products...
YEZ/YETZ vendors are also required to fill-out and submit a Food Ingredients Form which you can find on the Vendors and Applications page of the MOFGA website. Please remember you will be held to the same food guidelines as other vendors, including listing your sources or brands of ingredients (store names are not typically the brand name,) following the Food Decision Tree when sourcing ingredients, and using only Maine based sweeteners (no cane, coconut, palm, etc sugars or ingredients containing them, i.e. chocolate chips, are permitted) please call or email the Fair office at commonground@mofga.org or (207) 568-4142 with questions or for more information.
FILLING OUT THE ONLINE APPLICATION
STEP ONE - Contact and Product Information
Please be thorough.
STEP TWO - Days and Booth information
The Common Ground Country Fair YEZ/YETZ runs for two days. You may apply for two if you think you will be able to have the inventory and help to make it a successful weekend. We do encourage first time vendors to stick with one day. Tables are provided, and they are inside a tent. No display materials, tablecloths, etc are provided.
STEP THREE - Upload Supporting Paperwork
If you wish to sell food you MUST submit a food ingredient form WITH this application. If you are having trouble with the form please call or email the office. Applications that list consumable items (baked goods, tea, candy, gum etc.) but do not have a food ingredient form attached are not considered complete.
Please take your time when filling out the food ingredient form and refer to the food guidelines provided in the application packet. In prior years many YEZ/YETZ vendors have had to re-do their forms several times, attention to detail and contacting the office with any questions from the start can save you a lot of time and energy in the long run.
STEP FOUR - Submit Application
All applications filled out using this form must be submitted online. If you are unable to fill this form out online please contact the office. After the form is submitted you will receive a confirmation email, if you do not receive it please check your spam folder before contacting the office. Please retain copies of any supporting documents (i.e. food ingredient forms) for your records and reference.
The YE(T)Z application deadline is Monday, March 23rd. Applications submitted after the deadline will be reviewed on a rolling, space available, basis.
