Entertainment Interest Form 2026 - Common Ground Country Fair

2026 COMMON GROUND COUNTRY FAIR - ENTERTAINMENT INTEREST FORM

Please fill out your contact and band information below if you are interested in performing at the 2026 Common Ground Country Fair. The Fair will take place on September 25, 26, & 27, 2026.

Please note:

We favor acts offering traditional or original material. Unless your act covers a significant historical period or genre, we are generally looking for music you created.

We favor acts which come from Maine or have a strong Maine connection. One significant feature of the CGCF is its commitment to Maine arts, crafts and entertainment.

If a Fairgoer reaches out and is interested in connecting with you, do you give us permission to share the following information?

Please tell us about your band and music.

Tell us about your band, your music or your performance.
What styles or genres of music or performance fit you or your band? How many musicians/artists are in your band/troupe? What instruments are played in your band?
What is your connection to the history and influences of this genre?
Describe anything particular about your act or performance which reflects the goals or values of MOFGA and the Common Ground Country Fair.
Common Ground Country Fair looks for artists with Maine roots, and gives preference to artists who reside in Maine.
Acoustic, Amplified or Both?
We book both electric and acoustic artists, but we have more slots for acoustic style artists. If you typically play as an electric band, but can play as an acoustic band, please let us know.
Have you played at the Common Ground Country Fair in the last 10 years?
What years? Check all that apply:

Where can we hear your music or watch your performance?

Please direct us to any sites online where we can hear or watch selections of your music or performance. Please suggest three selections that best represent the performance you want to present at the Fair. If you do not have material online, please reach out to the Fair Office to discuss other options.

Band/Artist Website
Please list additional links to sites online (SoundCloud, Bandcamp, Facebook, YouTube, etc...) where we can hear or watch the artist's material.
We are more interested in live material, even rough quality is just fine, that clearly reflects the people and instrumentation that would be at the fair. If you want to play solo but only have studio-recorded band material online, that doesn't necessarily help us in the selection process.
Suggested tracks or other information

What are your preferences for performing at Common Ground?

Please let us know where you would like to perform.
We love to have roving performers at the Fair and in fact have just as many, if not more, slots available for rovers as we do on the stages. Some "roving artists" may set up in a remote location and stay put if that works best for their instrumentation (ex, near an admission gate) while others may indeed actually "rove." If any portion of your band or ensemble is up for roving, please let us know.

If available, when would you prefer to perform?
The 2026 Common Ground Country Fair dates are September 25, 26, & 27. Gates open at 9:00 a.m. all three days and close at 6:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
When are you AVAILABLE to perform?
We try to schedule performing artists for their preferred time slots. However, if those are unavailable, it is helpful for us to know if you are open to other time slots or cannot be scheduled outside a certain time frame.

Requested Compensation
As a 501(c)(3) educational association, we put as much of our resources as possible into our educational work – training new farmers, educating consumers, and promoting sustainable agriculture and organic farming. As such, our resources for live music and performances at the Fair are modest. However, we want to be fair and support the artists who support us! So please, let us know if you need to be paid, and if so, how much. If you're willing to volunteer, that's great and we certainly welcome that gesture, as well. Entertainment volunteers receive a free CGCF T-Shirt after their performance. Any acts larger than 5 performers that volunteer will receive a maximum of 5 free CGCF T-shirts. For additional performers we can provide meal tickets for a free meal in our Common Kitchen.

That's it!
